It's very important to me that J and get into better eating habits now since it will be easier for us while we're without kids. I can't imagine trying to do this weight-loss-eating-healthy-exercising thing in the midst of receiving kids for the first time. And, Jason is very supportive. As a matter of fact, earlier this week when I wanted to scrap everything and head over to Olive Garden for some pasta, steak, and Alfredo sauce with a side of vino, he held his own and firmly said no. Even though I was on my knees. I know, right?!?! Hold it together!
I'm about to tell the Hershey kisses my boss placed in our office to go to hell, too. They stare me in the eye all day long. Even though I have to turn my chair all the way around to even see them. I'm thinking maybe I need to pick up some sugar free sweets to bring in my lunch every day so I can settle the sweet tooth that seems to over-take me every afternoon after lunch.
Successes so Far:
- No soda or fast food since 12/31/09
- I drink all (if not more) of my water every day now
- Lots of new recipes obtained
Things to work on:
- I've come to the understanding that in order to lose weight I will need to exercise. As soon as the snow melts, I promise.
- Tasting while I'm cooking dinner.
- Hershey kisses after lunch courtesy of the bossman.
Blair wrote about how she was stuck in the house all weekend due to snow. I, unfortunately, was unlucky enough to also be stuck in the house due to 10.5 inches of the white stuff and cheat I did. I drank a whole bottle of wine over the course of the weekend and did not count points at all. I will not, however let it ruin my week. Onward and downward (on the scale)!
